International day for Monuments and Sites

On the occasion of World Heritage Day which is also notable as International day for Monuments and Sites, on 18th April, 2017 in the premises of The Iconic School, heritage day was fêted and conducted by the scholars.  The event was celebrated to create awareness among the peers about their cultural importance which inscribed about heritage and monuments. In the morning assembly briefing was done by Grade -8 to raise the keen interest of the scholars for the Indian heritage and culture. PPT presentation was set on the monuments of Madhya Pradesh by the students of Grade-6, 7, 8 where various famous monuments were  described and discussed like, Taj-ul-masajid , Sanchi Stupa,  Khajaraho, Ujjain were the hot topics where their unique cultural importance was inscribed. Castle of Mandoo was described  mainly for its artistic magnificence and its importance on the Global map. Virtual tour to UNESCO World Heritage Site: Sanchi Stupa was shown to the scholars. Grades 1 to 4 participated in ‘Heritage collage’ and grades 5-8 took part in the marvelous bookmarks making workshop. It was a day to connect with our heritage where students discussed about their culture, tradition and valuable asset.
