Departing from the past practices, The Public Education Director, Madhya Pradesh had directed the schools to observe the 150th birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi on their premises.

The Gandhi Jayanti celebrations were observed at The Iconic School Campus religiously. It began from Tuesday, 1st October 2019 where Grade 9 and Grade 5 conducted a special assembly as an ode to the Father of our Nation.

On Wednesday, 2nd October 2019, the day commenced with a meaningful prayer service creating a devotional ambience with the Bhajan’s like Vaishnav Jana To and Raghupati Raghav Raja Ram.

As Gandhiji said “The need of the moment is not one religion but mutual respect and tolerance of different religions.” Students witnessed a special screening of the movie, GANDHI that tells the story of Mahatma Gandhi and his struggle to win independence for India.Also, Students got a deep insight into the life and times of Mahatma Gandhi and we are sure that this endeavour to rekindle the thoughts and works of the Father of the Nation will have a positive impact on the upcoming generations.
