Jumping in the sand pit, Making cakes and balls of sand, Watching my hands get wet in the mashy sand, and Exploring colours on bubble wraps...
Children love getting messy, be it painting on the walls or on a sheet of paper. Some children express their feelings better through creativity. Keeping this in mind, Messy Day, a fun-filled activity day, was scheduled for students of Kindergarten to showcase their creativity and imagination without any limits of getting messy.
It was a lovely sight to see the kids, all smeared with colours as they covered sheets of papers with handprints. The teachers also joined in the fun while they guided the little ones to display their creativity. Children felt various textures and enjoyed squishing, bubbling and hearing the popping noise. The activities helped in exercising their gross motor skills and explore colours through touch and feel
The joy and happiness was seen when children explored sand by standing, walking and jumping off together in the sand. They enjoyed digging and pouring sand in the bucket with spades and shovel. Squishing, squelching, pinching and mashing potters clay in messy trays saw the enjoyment and happiness on the peak..... it was a day filled with fun and freedom........
